SMALL BUSINESS

Micro-credit loans for small business are distributed via SHG's (Self Help Groups). Individual women are supported by a group of women to make their business successful and to meet the target of repaying the loan so someone else can then make use of the loan; as well as improve their abiity to derive an income. The loan is a recycled donation that goes on and on. The SHG's also offer development programmes through support of the fieldworkers from the MIDS Office.

Child Sponsorship is for those children where families have been struggling to have a consistent income. For $160 per year a child has their school fees, books and uniforms paid for as well as have one excursion per year. They come to the MIDS Office throughout the year to wrtie letters to their sponsors.

CHILD SPONSORSHIP

House Renovation and Restoration is about raising the living standards for the poorest members of this part of India. Imagine living with no front door or secure windows? Image low ceilings or a roof that leaks in the rainy season. This is a relatively new project and we look forward to showing you the before and after photos of our first homes that are to be repaired and renovated.
